2009 Hurst “Series 5” Dodge Challenger SRT8
The Hurst brand is one of the most recognized and respected brands in the aftermarket high-performance automotive world. And the Hemi name undoubtedly demands the same respect. Put the two brands together and you get something like the smoking hot 2009 Hurst “Series 5” Dodge Challenger SRT8. First unveiled at the SEMA show in 2008, this is just one more Hurst Limited Edition vehicle that Hurst will put their name brand on. This tradition has been carried on since 1968 with the first Hurst/Olds to hit the market.
Exterior Styling And Performance
The most noticeable exterior queues are the Hurst Gold racing stripes, the five-spoke 20-inch rims with gold inlays, and Hurst badging placed around the Challenger SRT8. An adjustable Eibach suspension with Bilstein shocks gives the Dodge a nice stance and handling abilities, while slotted rotors, red-painted calipers, and a set of BF Goodrich KDW performance tires keep the car’s four wheels planted to the asphalt. To finish off the Hurst look, add a Hurst rear spoiler along with the Challenger hood with functional ram-air vents.
Interior Styling
This extremely special Hurst “Series 5” Challenger is the very last of the limited edition and comes with the team signatures proudly displayed when you open the trunk. Hurst Limited Edition sequentially numbered dash badge. Hurst leather interior with gold top-stitching and embroidered logos throughout the cabin is part of the styling. Although this Hurst is a limited edition, luxuries, technologies, and connectivity are all available just like in all other Challengers. The coolest part about the interior is the official Hurst “Pistol Grip” shifter – it looks cool and is fun to use.
6.1-Liter Vortec Supercharger
Slamming the gears of a Hurst classic “Pistol-Grip” shifter can be fun, but when you have a 6.1-liter with a Vortec supercharger pushing out some serious ponies, you’re going to have a blast. In a straight line or carving corners, this Hurst Challenger can just about do it all. Not to mention do it all while sounding great thanks to the Magnaflow cat-back exhaust.
Dodge Special Treatment
All Hurst “Series 5” Limited Edtion Challengers are factory delivered, each one with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. Series 3,4, and 5 are only available from Hurst Performance Vehicles, not dealerships. Each limited edition comes with a matching car cover with Hurst Gold racing strips. This car is worth preserving for the sake of preserving automotive history for our next generation. Older Hurst classic machines that have been preserved are still very cool and worth a pretty penny.
